A woman who wears a red lip color isn’t a woman who’s interested in being a shrinking violet. But if you’ve longed to shake things things up by wearing bold color on your lip like red, and have no clue what the right “red” lipstick is for you, then just follow these simple rules:

Women with fair skin like Anne Hathaway and Christina Aguilera should wear blue-based reds (which means no pink or red undertones).

Medium skin tones (the category Jada Pinkett-Smith falls into) have a much broader range of red lipstick colors to choose from.
