When You Have Natural Waves

If you’ve already got natural waves, your first step is to bend over and let your hair hang as you apply Michael O’Rourke Rock Your Hair Size Matters Big Volume Root Lift ($18.97, walmart.com). Beachy waves requires not a lot, but some volume, so spray this product throughout from root to end to get fullness – and don’t worry won’t weigh your hair down.

Create Your Own Waves

If you don’t have the waves, but wanna fake it ’til you make it, apply OGX Moroccan Curling Perfection Defining Cream ($5.99, drugstores) on damp hair,  twist your hair into a top knot, let it down and then let it air dry. You may need to use a barrel curling iron to refresh some waves that didn’t take with this DIY process.

Give It Texture

Next, either spritz a texturizing spray like alcohol-free L’Oreal Evertsyle  Texture Series Beach Spray ($6.99, lorealparis.com) and gently scrunch your curls for the “ultimate undone-yet-done  look.”

Make It Shine
