SHOW: Ottolinger

LEAD ARTIST: T. Cooper of Metro Look using SUDZZfx products: Liquid Luxe, Marmalade Jazz, and AirPlay GET THE  LOOK: HAIR - “Rock ‘n’ Roll Rapunzel” THE INSPIRATION: Inspired by the girl who wants nothing more than to stand out.

Step 1: Blow the hair straight with a Sedu blow dryer to create sleek texture.

Step 2: Flat iron with a Sedu 1 ½” straightener, and sprayed with Liquid Luxe for shine.

Step 3: Janet Collection synthetic bulk hair was pinned on top of the base of the ponytail.

Step 4:  stylists began braiding a pack synthetic hair into the ponytail, while incorporating several fabric strips into the braid. The process was continued while incorporating 2 more packs of hair, and even more fabric. Once the hair team was done braiding the 3rd pack of hair, they secured the ends with a rubber band. The next step was wrapping several fabric strips around the length of the braid, then several strands of the braid were cut, in random places, in order to achieve a frayed look.

Step 5: The final step was spraying AirPlay to the braid in order to keep the hair in place.

LEAD ARTIST: CND ABOUT... “Partnering with Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet this season has given our team a unique opportunity to showcase bold simplistic nail styles that can be seamlessly recreated by Nail Professionals in the salon,” said CND Co-founder and Style Director Jan Arnold. “Stacey Bendet’s inspiration this season fell right in line with our Summer 2017 trend story, which is rooted in nature with a sultry blend of color and design.” The CND Design Lab Team, comprised of some of the industry’s most talented nail artists, used CND™ VINYLUX™ Weekly Polish shades from the upcoming Summer 2017 collection to hand-paint the refined garden-inspired designs. One group of models wore a fresh take on the French manicure, with a crescent swoop of dusty rose down one side of the nail and a single palm leaf down the other. Another group donned a neutral nail with intricate leafing around the perimeter. Finally, CND showcased a slightly tinted base layer, embellished with cascading clear crystals on three select models for an ethereal touch of shine.

Step 4: Now, take the maki me happy and while angling your brush horizontally, drag it across the tip of the ring fingers (just shy of half way down your nail). Step 5: Using go go geisha in this same fashion, paint across the tips of the other nails to complete the look. Step 6: Finish with gel.setter top coat. essie pro tip: Michelle suggests holding the brush horizontally to help create a crisp, straight line. Another option is to use clear tape to tape off the area at the tip, simply paint the tip of the nail – be sure to allow the polish to become semi-dry before removing the tape. If you’re more experienced with your nail art, you can instead create negative space by painting the entire nail your base color and then use a flat brush dipped in acetone to remove the tip of the nail’s polish before painting with the accent color.
