Look Sun-Kissed In Sexy Bathing Suits That Rock Sponsored by Hawaiian Tropic
Look sun kissed sporting a tan from Tarte Cosmetics and Hard Candy in sexy bathing suits from Mara Hoffman, biKa, and Topshop that rock this summer.
An invitation to a pool party or a day at the beach is a call to action ladies – a call to make a lasting impression with your sexy swim gear! Neon colors, tribal prints and embellishments are trending big this season for swimwear designs giving everyone a little something from which to choose.
Pick 1: A bold color always does a body good and this Mara Hoffman Beaded Plunge-Front Swimsuit ($255, net-a-porter.com) with bead-embellished straps. Pick 2: biKa Style #RC-1 ($180, bikabazaar.com) from the Spring/Summer Rajputani Collection – a collection inspired by the vibrant culture of the desert state of Rajasthan, India where bold color, opulent fabrics, and royal embellishments reign supreme. This collection echoes the style of the Rajputani woman: brazen, elegant and glamorous for the contemporary stylish woman. Women with fuller bust lines are the ideal body shapes for these v-neckline suits because this silhouette elongates figures and minimizes cleavage exposure & fullness of breasts.
Women with smaller bustlines should consider tops that create the illusion that you’ve got more than less…consider pick 3: a Yellow Fluro Bandeau Bikini ($52, topshop.com), a neon color that flatters all skin tones.
The sexiest thing next to a hot bathing suit is a sexy tan to match. Skip the sun to get that sun-kissed look by trying Tarte Cosmetics Marajuca Self-Tanner & Mitt ($36, qvc.com) or Hard Candy Glow All The Way, Deep Tan Instant Bronze ($8, walmart.com). Also in Tropical Tan.
Tarte’s self-tanner is really for anyone of any shade who wants a perfectly hued bronze glow. Long-time fan of HKI and an admitted beauty junkie, Kristina Pittinato jumped at the chance to test and review this product. Kristina’s skin tone: medium.
Overall of her experience Kristina says, “thumbs up!” She loves the scent which is atypical of most self tanners and was happy that there was a mitt to protect her hands from staining – a mitt that can also be used on your face as well. Kristina has a medium/olive complexion and she say’s that the color she achieved is what she would “naturally get in the sun… not orange and not too dark.” The color is buildable and her self-tanning test lasted about six days before it began to fade. “Another thing was my skin wasn’t dry…it was like putting on a hydrating lotion. You get immediate color and then it builds up after about three hours [when I saw my skin get] darker…I liked the glow and color. I am a medium skin tone and generally tan, so a person with a lighter complexion could apply [a second application to get a richer color]. Dry time is three minutes and it didn’t transfer to my clothes or bedding or towel after I showered.” Krissy’s Tip: Exfoliate your skin before application.
Tarte’s suggested use: Prepare your skin by cleansing and then exfoliating, especially areas such as elbows, knees, and ankles. Dispense a quarter-sized amount of self-tanner to the mitt and apply to one body part at a time using sweeping circular motions. Allow the self-tanner to absorb for 10 minutes before dressing. Wait eight hours before showering, shaving, or sweating to allow a seamless tan to fully develop. Use one to two times a week to maintain a gorgeous tan.
Hard Candy Glow All The Way doesn’t involve as much work to get a sun-kissed glow. The formula doesn’t stain so you can apply directly with your hands. What’s really special about Glow are the so, so sexy little specs of 24 karat gold that’s left on your skin after application. On the lightest of skin tones Glow will appear as a deep tan and on darker skin tones skin will have a glow.
Knock ‘em dead in those suits this summer ladies.
