4 Hot New Cosmetics Launches From Your Favorite Brands!
Check out four hot new cosmetics launches from Maybelline New York, Kiss USA, Alessandro, and Hard Candy featuring makeup remover, nail polish colors, and more.
The best way to greet a new year is with an article about what’s new in the wonderful world of cosmetics. From makeup removers that moisturize to the latest in gel manicure offerings, there’s a lot to talk about.
Maybelline introduced a slew of new products for 2013 atop the iconic Empire State Building in New York City late last year, but HKI was laser focused on New Clean Express! The Flash Clean Makeup Removing Lotion ($4.97, walmart.com). Why? Because it’s a makeup remover that does all of the usual stuff, but it also moisturizes. In love.
Alessandro International introduces a line of 99 nail polish colors, but seen here is one of HKI’s faves – Love Secret ($12, alessandro-international.us). Talk about intense, high-shine color.
Hard Candy Cosmetics understands what it means to make lips look luscious – just check out Glossaholic in Tipsy ($5, walmart.com)! Comes in 5 shades. Infused with hyper-reflective prisms to make lips sparkle and if you need a little lip plumping, this does the job too.
Before receiving the Kiss USA Everlasting Gel Polish Starter Kit ($19.99, kissusa.com), I wasn’t completely on board the whole gel hype. I thought the process was labor-intensive, I thought the gel ruins natural nails & I thought the removal process was a complete beyotch!
My thinking’s changed since. While packing for a trip to L.A. this Christmas I had an “aha” moment. I didn’t want to deal with the possibility of chipped nails while on vacay, so I ripped into this kit and gave myself a gel manicure and hoped for the best. Luckily the kit came equipped with everything I needed: base & top coat, gel color, lint wipes, file block & much more. Once I accepted patience into my life, I found that incorporating the ultra violet light into the mix didn’t bother me so much. The moral of the story? I’ve since returned to New York without a chipped nail and the removal of the old gel manicure was super easy.
Hue Knew It? I did.
