Spring Beauty Must Haves for 2013
When my beauty partners in crime over at Glam asked HKI to give the lowdown on the products every woman should own come this spring, it was a done deal. Get your shopping lists ready, ladies, because Hueknewit.com & Glam brought together the hottest spring beauty must haves for 2013 that are all the rage for women!
Just when I thought I’d experienced every shave cream there is, along came ($5) – a shaving product, when dispensed looks and feels like a thick lotion. Another standout attribute of this product is the ergonomic bottle that leaves behind no nasty rust rings in your shower! If you need to cut your shaving time in half, then ditch the cream and use Gillette + Olay Razor with moisture bars which exfoliates and gets your stubbly anything into touchable smooth condition ($11).
Everyone needs a go-to product like First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream – Intense Therapy ($28) because it douses the driest of skin with the right amount of moisture anytime of the year. Case in point: I used Intense Repair on my first bout with eczema on my hands and feet last year and I felt comforted with every application.
If your Saturdays are spent like mine, just milling about the city completely “made-down,” still make your skin care a priority. Keep your eyes looking bright and bag-free with Philosophy Miracle Worker Eye Cream ($65). It tops my list of eye creams simply because it absorbs quickly and leaves a matte finish…star qualities I’d say. As a staunch supporter of the ‘less is more’ movement, tinted moisturizers have literally become my everything, but what about CC (color + correct) creams you ask? I’m on board with those as well and if I were you, I’d give Olay CC Cream – Total 7 Effects Tone Correcting Moisturizer with SPF ($25) a try. It’s BB’s equivalent and then some because it’s treating the 7 signs of aging while it conceals, primes, evens skin tone and so much more.
But when it comes time to leave the house to run errands on Saturday, you should still look as though you care a little about your appearance. Even women like me who have a special relationship with their “pets” (code for false eyelashes) safely tuck them away on “made-down” Saturday’s in favor of a quality mascara and I choose Maybelline Rocket Mascara ($6) because it transforms my less than impressive real eyelashes into visibly longer ones in a matter of seconds and it could do the same for you. Finish your ‘no-effort’ look with Benefit Fine-One-One ($30) – a cheek and lipstain that leaves a barely there peachy glow. You could also opt to give your pout some serious shine really with any of Burt’s Bees Lip Gloss, but seen here is Rosy Dawn ($9).
I, like you should make sure to use Matrix Biolage Exquisite Oil to keep your frizzies in check and give your nails a once-over whilst you moisturize thirsty cuticles with Alessandro Coco Mango Nail Cream ($25). Spritz yourself with Kenzo Amour I Love You Fragrance ($57) – new favorite of mine and out the door you go.
